Has anyone else looked at that word before and thought, geez, that is such a strange word? It is said quite frequently, but when you actually write it out it looks so silly! For me it falls under the list of "Unique English Words". Other words that I have placed under this list are: peephole, gypsy and zenzizenzizenzic. Yes, the third word is actually a word.
Let's cut to the chase. Why do I want to start a blog? For those who do not know me, I am a bike enthusiast. I am imagining people reading this that knew me in high school or that have not seen me in some time are questioning, "What happen to the field hockey obsessed Sarah?". It is true, I have found my passion: cycling.
My nickname playing field hockey was "Douce". To this day when I see old teammates or friends from high school they still refer me to it. |
Cycling to me means more then a great race time and medals. Yes, those things are nice, but it is the community of people and the simplicity of biking that make it great.
My mission is to get more women cycling. I encourage all disciplines of cycling, whatever works for you.
Check out the Facebook page: Women of Harrisonburg on Wheels. This page is used to connect ladies in Harrisonburg and surrounding areas about events, rides, sharing pictures and whatever else is going on in the biking world.
As for explaining the blog name, that is due for another post.
Tata for now-
Sarah
